A great honour – London Ambassadorial residence concert.

WKMT Performing for the Celebration of the Argentinian 25th May in London.

WKMT piano concert at the Residence of the Ambassador of Argentina

Such an honour being part of a gorgeous event organised at the formal Residence of the Argentinian Ambassador in Belgrave Square, London on the last 25th May. Due to the celebration of the famous May Revolution in Argentina. Thanks to that revolution, Argentina got to remove the Spanish Viceroyalty and establish the first local government in Argentina. That was the first independence process in all South America.

Every year, the current Ambassador in London, Renato Carlos Sersale di Cerisano, celebrates this date with friends and different personalities in his formal residence in Belgrave Square. A beautiful residence which welcomes us all to gather and celebrate together this famous date. This time, they counted with me to get the music for the Opening Gala, during the Reception with the Ambassador and Diplomatics. I went with WKMT Team including Carolina Aguirre Anderson, the concert pianist in charge of performing Argentinian pieces from Guastavino and Ginastera.

Our performance was the first one of many others as Argentinian popular bands, tango dancers as well as an English String Quartet performing the famous “God Save the Queen”. Everyone enjoyed the performances while talking and walking this beautiful residence. Proper Argentinian food and a fine selection of red and white wines also typical from our country.

I would like to thank the Argentinian Embassy and the Minister Diego Desmoures for inviting me and therefore my Piano Teachers Team to this great experience. We wish the best to our Embassy in London as well as many other reunions like this in the future.
