Harmonic analysis is a fundamental element of music analysis. As part of my Haydn analysis, I’ve decided to produce a short series of articles covering the main tools required to analyse classical sonatas; most specifically Haydn piano sonatas.

Due to the latter, we need to brush our analysing tools very well before attempting to unveil the creative mysteries of this amazing classical maestro.
